EMPLOYER ENGAGEMENT OFFICER
(FULL TIME POSITION BASED BETWEEN BALBRIGGAN, BALLYMUN & SWORDS).
Ballymun Job Centre believe that successful employment outcomes are

have an exciting new opportunity for an Employer Engagement Officer to
join our team.
As an Employer Engagement Officer, you will play a pivotal role in
bridging the gap between job seekers and employers, facilitating
mutually beneficial relationships that lead to meaningful employment
opportunities.
The Employer Engagement Officer is responsible for developing and
maintaining relationships with employers to create employment
opportunities, work experience placements and apprenticeships, which
match the skills, experience, and aspirations of clients of the BJC
Local Area Employment Service (LAES).
MAIN DUTIES OF THE ROLE:
RELATIONSHIP BUILDING
* Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with employers to
understand their workforce needs and create employment and work
placement opportunities for clients.
* Collaborate with employers to understand their recruitment needs
and advise on available government programmes and incentives.
* Through contact with employers identify new services opportunities
that the BJC can offer to employers and/or build strategic
partnerships between the BJC and employers.
* Stay updated on industry and labour market trends and emerging
employment opportunities to provide valuable insights and
recommendations to employers and clients.
* Offer advice to employers and Guidance Officers about
employability for clients in the current and future labour markets.
* Identify specific employment or work experience opportunities for
job ready clients of the LAES.
* Keep up to date and inform employers of the range of financial and
other support available to employers to encourage them to provide
employment for clients of the LAES.
CASELOAD MANAGEMENT
* Manage a caseload of job seeking clients.
* Assist clients with CV preparation, job seeking and interview
skills.
* Support clients to register with Jobs Ireland and Careers Portal.
* Meet with the LAES guidance team to identify and agree clients who
are employment or work experience ready by evaluating their skills,
qualifications, and interests.
* Identify employment or work experience suitable for the client,
ensuring a mutually beneficial fit for both the job seeker and the
employer.
* Design and facilitate customised training initiatives and
workshops that enhance the employability of the job seekers.
* Provide post placement support to clients for a minimum of **Apply
on the website** weeks following placement into employment. Carry out
post placement meetings with job placed clients and follow up face to
face, phone, e-mail, or video call meetings at agreed milestones.
* Provide feedback to Guidance staff on clients put forward for job
vacancies.
DATA MANAGEMENT & REPORTING
* Maintain accurate records of employer interaction, job orders, job
placements and programme outcomes.
* Generate reports on employer engagement activities, job and work
experience placements to evaluate the impact and inform decision
making.
* Ensure that all administration records and reports in relation to
work with employers are maintained in line with data protection and
GDPR guidelines.
As this role is based between our 3 offices in Ballymun, Balbriggan
and Sword, the person should have a willingness to travel and work
flexibly.
The person should have a strong sales background and at least two
years’ experience in an Employer Engagement or Recruitment role and
be able to demonstrate the ability to effectively manage and maximize
vacancy opportunities with new and existing employers.
They should also hold a full clean driving licence and have access to
their own transport.
A relevant third level qualification while not essential would be an
advantage.
This is a full-time position and is offered on an initial one-year
fixed term contract.
